The Sunwaytech Battery Inverter 10 kW 3 phase is designed to convert power coming from the meter box and send it to a battery for storage. This type of inverter is usually used in systems where microinverters are already installed, such as those from Enphase or SolarEdge, or in large solar field installations and in situations where it is not possible to use a hybrid inverter directly.

AC inverters take alternating current (AC) from the meter box, convert it and send the energy to a battery. This allows existing solar systems with non-hybrid inverters to still benefit from battery storage without having to replace the entire system.

With an AC inverter, you can easily switch to battery storage and upgrade your solar system without major changes to your current installation.

Important to know: AC inverters work independently of the solar panels themselves. This means that they do not connect directly to the PV strings, but function as an extension of your existing system. This makes them an ideal solution for installations with micro-inverters or other systems that are not compatible with a hybrid inverter.
